Austin Stark is a writer, director, and producer. He is a founding partner of the New York-based film production company, Paper Street Films.

Austin’s most recent film as a writer/director is THE GOD COMMITTEE, a medical thriller starring Kelsey Grammer, Julia Stiles, Colman Domingo, and Janeane Garofalo. The film is currently in post-production and will be released in 2020. Austin is also working on DITCH PLAINS, a Montauk-set thriller which he wrote and plans to direct in 2020.

As a writer/director, Austin’s first feature was THE RUNNER, a political drama starring Nicolas Cage, Sarah Paulson, Peter Fonda and Connie Nielsen. The film was released theatrically by Alchemy in 2015.

As a producer, Austin’s most recent film is Maya Forbes’ INFINITELY POLAR BEAR, starring Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released by Sony Pictures Classics. Mark Ruffalo received a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Actor”.

Austin began his career working with Academy Award-winning producer Martin Richards (CHICAGO). He is a graduate of Georgetown University and lives in New York City.
